What Skittles Likes about it:

Falling water! What cat doesn't like that? You don't even have to get your paws wet! There is a flow rate adjuster. That's the neatest thing ever. Mommy and I will sometimes play with it and make the water flow at different rates. It's fun. You don't actually need the filters for the fountain to work, but they are good for removing impurities. The filters are small, and very inexpensive. Mommy bought a ton of them. They last about 5 to 6 weeks each and you can get them at most local pet stores in the fish section.

This particular type has the water stream down like from a faucet. My favorite type of waterworks.

What Skittles Doesn't like about it:

If it is not filled with enough water, the fountain rate is reduced. It will also make a hissing noise, because the pump is sucking up air and water, instead of just water. That might scare some people if they don't know what it is. You have to put this somewhere where there is a plug at most, 6 feet away. Not really a problem in my home, but may be in homes with children. Make sure the cord is hidden away.
