It's easy to clean when used with a litter box. You just shake or vacuum it. The sisal is good for those cats trying to get out of the habit of furniture scratching.

What Skittles Doesn't like about it:

Depending on how hard a "clawer" you are, the mat flexes a bit. If you are using this as a mat for an outdoor cat, it could get messy easily and is kind of hard to clean if there is mud or dirt caked up.
