Litter Welcome Mat

Litter Welcome MatWhat Skittles Likes about it:

When mommy first opened the box, I was curious. The mat had a very fresh smell. Mommy said it was kind of like a "new car" smell, whatever that is. It collects the litter in a pan, so there is no worry about a pile ending up on the floor. When I exit, I don't have to step in a pile of litter anymore. Since it is too hard to pile anything up on this mat, I've stopped kicking litter out. I used to do that a lot and mommy would say I sent enough clean litter out for a whole other cat. I guess this is a good thing, though I did have fun making mommy clean up all of that litter with my old mat.

It's easy on the paws. Many mats' textures can be rough on the paws. The shape of the grid lines are comfortable.

It's sturdy. At first glance I meowed that it wouldn't hold me. Boy was I wrong. I jumped onto it and it didn't bend. I should also note that it comes with these little things that are sticky on one side and vinyl on the other side. I guess that they are so it doesn't slide on non-carpet floors. I think it's a nice idea for a cat like me. You can get a good running start right from your litter mat. My running abilities have increased for my Kitty Olympics.

What Skittles Doesn't like about it:

When I claw at it, it hardly moves. Where is the fun in that? How am I supposed to wake people up in the middle of the night if I can't make a whacking sound with my litter mat?

There isn't a lip that my litter box can sit on, you know, like a safe zone for my litter box. I guess that was done so that it can fit any size box. Now that I think about it, I guess it was so that it could be used in any direction (vertically or horizontally). Hey, that's a neat idea.
