Skittles' Diary

My Dearest Diary,Oops
December 21, 2007

So many things to talk about. I've been rather self conscious lately which is partly why I haven't written or been hanging out on the camera. I had a really bad asthma episode almost two months ago.

I was put on three different medicines and they, um, caused a bit of weight gain. Unfortunately, the pounds went on much easier than they seem to be coming off. Mommy says this is typical in humans as well, but as long as I try to eat properly and get exercise, I can do it. The exercise is my catch-22 though. I get too active and then my asthma starts to act up. I don't like being in this situation, but I will do what I can.

There was a tragedy involving one of the stray kittens. Unfortunately it was killed. Mommy is still trying to the two remaining kittens and take them to the local N-K shelter. The other cat that mommy thinks has a home has been hanging out more and more. He even lets daddy play with him now. That is a big step. I know I am very cautious about who comes within five feet of me. He's a brave young cat, that's for sure.

His name is Alfred. At least that's what we've been calling him here. He loves to peek in the window, so Mommy decided to name him after Alfred Hitchcock, the producer of the classic movie, Rear Window. It seems to have stuck and he doesn't seem to mind.

I've been informed that something is wrong with the camera. Hey, after nearly ten years, I think it is expected. With the holidays, getting another one is going to take a little longer. I wonder if mommy and daddy will spring for a night vision one? That would be cool. I wonder if I would be able to get my genes manipulated to glow in the dark like the cats in South Korea (video link). That would be awesome!

On that note, I think I'm going to see if I can make myself glow in the dark with some ice cream. I'll settle for milk if we don't have ice cream. We really should have ice cream though. It's only right. Night Diary.
