Oh the adventures I have had. A lizard actually fought back this past weekend. It all started one morning with me accidentally setting a lizard free in the house. Unfortunately for me, he couldn't be found. Late the next day he was spotted and it was brought to my attention. I chased it around the library for a while and daddy eventually caught it in a cup. He then took it out on the patio and let it go. Of course I followed and caught it. After much fun, I thought it was dead and gave it one last final swipe.
I thought wrong. It would seem that it was pretending to be dead. Before I could even touch the lizard it was in the air and clinging to the fur on my paw. My reaction was like a bad 90s tv show. I screamed and ran backward shaking my paw furiously. I think I caused daddy to fall over laughing. It wasn't funny at the time. Now that I look back at it, I guess it was kind of funny.
I have also been reissued a collar. That is probably due to my recent escape adventures. Everyone is complimenting me on it. They say I look about two years younger with it on. I must say, it does make me look thinner. It's a lovely white and purple. The same day I got my new collar, I was given the gift of a new brush. I made everyone brush me at least once the first night. It is relaxing and the stray hairs just glide off. I've got to write up a review for it.
The night before last I also ran out of wet food. Everyone thought I would be ok with just dry food. I knew better. At 3:30 in the morning I got sick under mommy's desk. That lady has some good hearing. I don't think she was too thrilled that I had 1) gotten sick at 3:30 in the morning and 2) gotten sick under her desk. Lucky for me she hasn't used her sewing machine yet. I kind of made a mess on the pedal. It's a good thing I look cute with this collar on, because she's going to be so mad at me.
There was an up side to me getting sick. I got fresh cooked chicken out of it! There are a lot of stores open 24 hours around here, but none of them sell my iams food. So after cleaning up my mess, mommy cooked some fresh chicken for me. She knows me too well. I would have kept her up all night if she hadn't given me something to settle my stomach. Chicken cures everything for me.
Mommy's grandmother is really sick, so nannie is going to go see her. I'm keeping happy thoughts, but I was told it doesn't look good. I'm going to go have some happy kitty thoughts and then take a nap before bed. Night Diary.
