The news keeps saying that the fish won. What in the world does that mean? Was there a war or something with fish involved? Newscasters make no sense. Maybe that's why mommy dreaded work.
It's a busy time of the year around the house. Mommy had a birthday, grandpa had a birthday, my aunt had a birthday, and my uncles are about to have birthdays. Top that off with the flu and you can guess how things were around here.
Me, I was doing good last week, real good. I was getting three lizards a day. Then it happened. I started getting my little rash. Except this time I managed to pull out some fur. It's growing back though. Daddy started calling me Scarface again. I think I need to talk to him about that. I'm not very fond of that nickname.
It is starting to get cooler. It's not cold like our old house was. Mommy said it will get chilly in a couple of days. That should be fun. Maybe we can actually keep the windows open all day! I hope so.
Mommy got a new office chair. It's quite nice. I would have preferred she got leather, like grandpas, but I'll made do with cloth. She said she didn't trust me. Apparently when I go visit, I don't let grandpa use his chair. Sorry, it's just so warm and inviting!
My cousins are going to be staying with us for a few days. That should be fun. They play soccer in the backyard and I watch. Speaking of the backyard. Daddy let me walk around the backyard, with no harness. I felt so free, even if daddy was a whole foot away from me the entire time. I didn't get to hunt anything, but it still felt good to have that grass between my toes. The kids had dug holes in the sand, so I wasn't allowed in the sand.
I also met my cousins' hamster. He's not anything special. I think I could take him out in one bite. If my cousins are reading this, I don't plan on doing it, I was just wondering. That's all, really. The hamster is coming back over tomorrow. I'll leave it alone, I promise.
Well, I think I'll go meditate for a little while. Someone really needs to bring some ice cream into this house. Sheesh. Night Diary!
