Happy Independence Day
July 4, 2001

I was expecting there to be a lot more noise today. It's Independence Day in the United States. There was only one person doing fireworks and that was only for a few minutes. I think everyone either went to the big (really big) city with the huge fireworks show or did them the other night. Either way, I'm glad it's over. I like being in a free country, but do we really need the fireworks? They are so loud and scary. Maybe I should look up ear plugs for cats.

Well, all of the anticipation of the loud noise has made me pretty tired. That and not doing anything all day. I'm going to get to bed early tonight.
