Law School for Cats?
February 21, 2001
Daddy has been giving me a little food in the morning. I think that he thinks this will help mommy out. I guess he's right, sort of. I'll usually leave mommy alone for a few hours, but she can expect total non-cooperation from me come noon EST! That's when I get nervous. I need to know when my food is going to be ready for me, and whether it is going to be 5 minutes late or 50 minutes late. I don't like my food to be late. Prompt feeding is essential for me. If my food is later than an hour, I have but no choice to resort to paper shredding. This is the only way I can think of to get my point across to them. It seems to work.
I was left alone for a while in the morning. Mommy went somewhere with daddy. She came back with a box, but I think that was from the mailbox. Nothing interesting, just a part of a birthday present.
I discovered it was not best to disturb mommy while reading important books. It is really not a good idea to try and chew on the book she is reading. She doesn't like that very much. I wonder if she would mind if I did it when she wasn't reading it. Would that technically be bothering her, or would it just be destruction of mommy's property? Maybe I should go into law. Nevermind, mommy says there are too many, plus I think by the time I graduated Law School for Cats, I'd have to retire. Maybe I'll just hang out around the house and surf the internet. That seems to be working well right now. I would miss my sunbeams too much.
Well, I think I'll go to sleep now. I got my fill on some oyster crackers mommy "accidentally" left out. Funny, I didn't taste any oyster in them. They tasted like regular crackers. No matter. Goodnight Diary.
