Presidents and Santa
December 13, 2000
Things are almost back to normal. We woke up this morning, and the phone rang. It was.... the vet's office!!!! Ahhhhh. I ran and leapt under the blankets. It was the safest place I could think of. They were confirming my appointment in the morning. I didn't want to confirm it, but mommy went ahead. How could she, I don't know. I was hurt. How could mommy and daddy dare do this to me again. I had such a horrible time last time. Why are they putting me through this again?
Mommy went out into the freezing cold. Apparently it is suppsed to rain, sleet, and snow tonight and tomorrow. Maybe I won't have to go to the vet's office after all! Then again that never stopped them when I was a kitten. Mommy walked to the vets office because I "had to go." Mommy and I beat cars to the vet's. It doesn't help that the office is really close to the house. It's about a 8-10 minute walk. It took us about 20 minutes that time. Mommy stopped anytime a car got close to an intersection. They were all sliding on the snow and she didn't want us to get hurt. It just snowed really bad in a short period of time. As soon as a snow plow went by, it seemed like more snow just immediately fell to replace it. That was an interesting experience. Mommy and I kind of had fun. I was all nice and warm because mommy packed me in my carrier really well. The vet was surprised we even made it in. That was when he was nice and didn't give me all sorts of ouchy shots. Now all he seems to do is give me shots for something or another. Yuck.
That green thing has been making noise again. He's weird looking. I think it's a he. Mommy and daddy refer to it as a he. I don't know how to tell. Lately he's been saying "Fun this is" Upside down am I." I'll have to find out what it's name is. Daddy was playing with some sword looking thing and the green guy and the sword both made noise. I'll keep an ear out and let you know.
Today was a busy day in the US government. This evening Al Gore conceded. I'm not sure how to handle it. Mommy said we could always move to the England. Daddy's company has an office there. That might be fun. Maybe we'll just go buy and island and create our own country. I would prefer that.
Mommy made me help her sign some Christmas cards. I don't like doing that. I always get messy and spend an hour grooming after mommy has cleaned me up. It's so messy.
Well, I guess it's bed time. There's a lot to prepare for. Tomorrow will be interesting.
Night diary.
