Skittles' Diary

My Dearest Diary,Cat jailed for being curious
November 3, 2000

Mommy needs to turn on the heater! It's freezing in here. She says it's "Comfortable," whatever that means!

Today was nothing spectacular. I was a notty kitty and wouldn't let mommy sleep. I was cold and wanted to get somewhere warm, like under her arm. She didn't seem to want me there too much. Turning me away like I don't even exist. I showed her!

Mommy went to dinner with Ms. Manders, Alex and Ms. Amy. Well, Daddy came home and the automatic food thing came! It's pretty neat. There are 5 slots, to feed me a total of 5 days. I like that. It seems to work so far. Mommy has set it up, and it should go turn at 6pm tomorrow, EST. I'll let you know how everything goes. This could be the start of a whole new me! Maybe. It does hold a good amount of food. I'm not too worried. I know how to open the cabinets that store the real food. I will survive if something ever happens! Cross my paws that nothing ever does!

Well, not too much happened. Mommy did lock me in the middle room so she could put a new suet bell out for the birds. I wasn't very excited about that little venture, but I didn't have to stay in there too long. I tried to see out the window a little too closely a few times and it worried mommy, so she "put me away."

I did some box playing too. Mommy's holiday boxes were nice to play in. I think there are some more things coming from Pets.com next week. More stuff to do reviews on, I hope. I heard something about dog toys and that worried me. Then mommy explained that those were for my dog cousins and my dog aunt Shelby. I thought maybe mommy and daddy were thinking of adopting a dog or something! Pheew. Boy was I relieved.

I've been trying to think of something. Humans seem to "have a color." You know, one particular color that suits them best. Though I don't quite get this concept, I figured I would try it out on myself. Mommy has assisted, but we can't seem to find that right one. Mommy leans towards the light blues, but I find myself leaning towards the light greens. I just don't know. Maybe I am a blue-green kind of cat? Or maybe it's green-blue? I just don't know.

Well. I think that's enough for now. Lots to do this weekend. I've got birds to spy on, imaginary mice to catch, tails to chase, and food to eat. I need to rest as much as I can. Night diary.
