Murdock, Where are you?
October 25, 2000
Well, mommy is home. She's got a cold though. She said she got it the day that she left.
Let me see. I've driven daddy crazy ever since mommy left. I knocked down everything on mommy's desk at least once. I ran around in circles for a good half of an hour. Daddy was about ready to call the animal control people, for fear that I had gone crazy. That was about it. I got massively fed by daddy over the weekend. He was afraid I would starve. Silly daddy, doesn't he know I store this stuff up! Kind of like Squirrels, but without the little bushy tails! Little do the people know, I've got a huge stockpile in a secret hiding place.
The morning went ok. I climbed under mommy and daddy's blanket to wake them up. Boy was that fun. A few well placed gentle swishes of my tail and daddy was up and laughing. It's so easy to wake humans up. The best trick is to sit down on their pillow, near their face. That gets them up in a big hurry!
Mommy almost took me out today, but then she didn't look so well, so we stayed in. Maybe next time.
I got fed a whole half an hour early today. I didn't get any extra yummies either. Today wasn't a good eating day.
Daddy came home normal today. He played with me a little.
Mommy brought home some things, and then all of the sudden, she and daddy had these funny egg looking things. Well, I discovered they are great to bat around!! Mommy put something in one of them so that it made noises when I hit it. The empty ones fly really far when I bat them with my paw. There's just something about these. They are so neat.
I watched some TV this evening. A bit of Animal Planet, and some A-Team. I don't get that show. It must be a human thing. I didn't find it very interesting. Animal planet was neat. They had some people in the jungle and I heard all sorts of jungle noises. I like jungle noises.
Well, I think I'm going to head to bed. I think mommy will be late tonight. She still has work to do, even though she's sick. I'm going to take my nap. Night diary.
