Skittles' Diary

My Dearest Diary,Grandpa's B-day & a UFO
October 15, 2000

They're home! They're home! I can't believe it, they're home!

Mommy and Daddy got home today. I was mopey all weekend, but they're home. I didn't do much of anything. I ate all of my food, as normal, thinking they were being extra nice and giving me lots of food, but noooooooo. They didn't come home for almost 2 more days. I didn't want to exert any energy, incase it was going to be a while. But now they are home. I'm running around like a mad cat!

Nannie sent me a toy, actually a couple toys. It was neat. It's this flying seagull thing. There's also this ufo spinning top that has these pretty light patterns, and this bopping dog head. It's this thing where you press the button the head bops up, and it makes a boing noise. Mommy likes that best. I am being a little cautious of it.

Today is Grandpa's birthday! Happy Birthday Grandpa! He can't have cake. But, we sent him down something that he can eat, and that he really likes! I gave it a sniff over, it was good.

Mommy's birthday is coming in a few days. Tuesday. I have to get her something. Or maybe I'll just let her sleep in, I'm not sure. Who knows!

I heard the words cat nip come from mommy. I hope she gives me some! That would be so yummy to this here little tummy.

Mr. Jamie will probably be over next weekend, so I have to make sure to stay in front of the camera lots. Since mommy's not going to be here, he can get away with being mean to me, or at least not giving me treats and stuff when I want them.

I was given some of that sweet sweet goodness that is vanilla pudding. I am told that I drive mommy "insane" if I am not given any. I'm not sure if she is kidding or not. Sometimes mommy tends to act a bit strange. Here's a picture of me nabbing some pudding. Note that I have learned to get my tongue completely into the container. It took a good 6 months of practice to learn this technique. It has proved invaluable in many many circumstances. You never know where you might find some fresh dairy product awaiting your taste buds!

Mommy has a list of things she is going to help me work on for my site. I snuck a peek and I recall seeing something about a scrapbook section of moi, that's me. That would be kind of neat. Don't you think diary? Then again, she'll take more pictures of me, and drive me silly!

Ms. Amanda, Mr. Steve and Little Mr. Alex are officially moving. That means no Dobie scents coming home with mommy. If it wasn't for the fact that I prefer being the only cat, it would be kind of neat to have Dobie come and move in. But, he couldn't handle it here. It's a rough life in this place. Food is limited by that vet guy, and well, my toys, are my toys. No one is allowed to play with my toys, unless I say so. I'm a cat, so I don't have to share!

Well, now that I've said my piece, I think I'm going to go to bed. Goodnight diary.
