Wow, it's birthdays galore
October 4, 2000
Happy birthday cousin Rachel! Happy belated birthday Aunt Melissa.
I was just too tired to write last night. I stayed up with Mommy, Daddy and Mr. Jamie watching movies. We watched this movie called "The Meaning of Life." It was by some group called Monty Python. I think it was something in the 70s or something. A real long time before I was born.
I attacked a moth and a fly that were on the big screen on the window. It was quite interesting. However, mommy was quite upset with me. She doesn't like it when I claw at the window. I think she is afraid I will fall out.
Daddy went to work early. He didn't want to, since he worked really late last night, but he had to. After he went home I went back to sleep until Mr. Jamie woke up. Then I bugged him for food.
I almost escaped out the front door today. Actually I did make it out, but mommy caught me. She was very upset with me. She forgave me though. It was nice to have a few minutes of freedom. I'll take what I can get.
Mommy fed me canned food for dinner, and then later she gave me some dry food. I was very happy. Food is ever so yummy.
We got more boxes, and I managed to nab a few more of those cornstarch peanuts. They are so good, I just can't help myself.
Little Mr. Alex is having a birthday party. I have to remember to sign his birthday card. Mommy said she won't wrap his present until the night before, because she is afraid I will unwrap it. Would I do such a thing????? Naaahhh, not me.
It rained today. So I didn't get to go out. Mommy had her shoes on and everything, then all of the sudden we heard the splatting sounds. It was rain coming down. It didn't last a long time, but it lasted long enough that I was upset and unable to go out and play in the grass. It was too wet. Maybe tomorrow. No, nevermind, it's supposed to rain again tomorrow, and I think the day after that. Darn. I think I may need to get over my fear of water, just so I can play outside. Mommy likes the rain, it's me who doesn't. Maybe I'll just make little kitten steps at it. First I'll start with a wet sink, then with a wet bathtub, then I'll work my way to touching fully wet cups or bowls. It will take time. But I have to, otherwise I'll never get to play outside!
Well, I just finished watching The Professional, again. I like that movie. I think it is time for bed now. I'm sleepy. Goodnight Diary.
