Skittles' Diary

My Dearest Diary,The big cheese gets spicy
September 26, 2000

Well. Auntie Melissa needs to keep an eye out for her birthday present. Mommy sent it off today so that I don't go poking around in it any more! Some mommies!

Today was cold and gloomy. It rained most of the day. Pretty much as soon as mommy got back from the post office and bank. I hung out by the window for a while, but it started to get a little chilly, so I took cover in my tunnel. It's nice and warm there because it's got a lamp over it, and it's wool! MMmmmm. Snuggly soft for kitty cats.

Mommy fed me some dry food early, and told me that if I was good, she would give me wet cat food at night. Yummy.

I was good. I got wet cat food. Oh how nice that was. Mommy wasn't being nice, and took forever to get it to me. I was so tempted to climb up there and get it from her. Hmph. Mommy!

So later in the evening daddy and mommy shared a little bit of chips and cheese dip. Daddy had a little left in his container, and left it on the kitchen counter. I of course had to have some. Dairy is my weakness. So sweet and so wonderful on my tongue. Well, I really got into the cheese, and ate quite a bit before someone heard my lapping it up. Mommy came in screaming at me, "Skittles, no! What are you doing? That's HOT cheese!" It was then that I realized my little mouth was on fire. Mommy put me down by my fountain and I lapped up some water. Then, to ease some of my pain I started into some kitty olympics. I ran around the house in leaps and bounds. It helped. I ended up in my litter box, doing my business, and then into the bathroom to wash up. I grabbed some more water to ease the remaining burning in my mouth. It was nice.

Well after most of tonights events I hid far up on the cabinets, away from anything spicy and anything dairy! Phew! I'm going to bed now. Night diary.
